At Applegarth it is important to us that those who choose be here, have access to all of the activities they would wish to have. Our dedicated Lifestyle and Leisure Team will work with you to provide a schedule of events that fulfill your desires and needs.

This room is used to help you develop your personal and social skills and for recreation activities such as painting and so forth

 

Beauty Therapy/Hair Dressing

We have available a qualified beauty therapist and hair dresser to provide you with the luxuries in life that make you feel better. Therapies include Aromatherapy, massage (including hand massage) manicures, makeup, etc. 

Bedrooms

Throughout the complex we have a variety of rooms all of which are spacious and decorated to a high standard. An interior designer was commissioned and supplied bespoke soft furnishings.

Applegarth Healthcare Garden

Garden

We have developed our gardens, including a sensory garden, to enhance our patients’ quality of life. Part of the garden has a water feature to enhance your enjoyment of time spent there. The raised bed is accessible to all to experience the different fragrances and textures of the plants. 

House Keeping

The Domestic cleaning team at Applegarth are fully equipped to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all areas of the home. Their job is to service all bedrooms, corridors and other areas, in line with company policy. They also report any maintenance issues immediately to the maintenance team, including all furniture, fittings and equipment. The house keeping team  also provide our laundry service. 

IT areas with Internet Access

In this modern age keeping in touch with the outside world is important. Our patients are encouraged to use the computers to develop their skills, use the internet for their own personal purchases and play games etc. We have computers in various parts of the building for just that purpose. There is Wireless Internet connection in many of the bedrooms.

Maintenance Team

At Applegarth we have an experienced and helpful Maintenance team to help fix any problems that residents and staff may have. They ensure that the day to day running of the building is kept smooth and trouble free.

There is an ongoing decoration and refurbishment programme.

We have 7 communal lounge areas through the home which offer different facilities themselves such a plasma television: music; café area, laundry for patients own use and kitchen facilities.

We will make sure that things that are important to you continue, for example, you are able to enjoy to your favourite radio / television programme. Do you need care advice?

Our team is led by the Clinical Nurse Manager who is supported by our Senior Management team which includes clinical and non clinical members. Clinical and personal development are key staff priorities in our organization.

We employ experienced nursing staff who have been specifically trained to support people with complex health conditions and neurological injuries or conditions. Our Staff Development Manager oversees all training provided in order to maintain the high quality of skill required to manage the complex needs of our patients.
